So, I err on the side of caution by leaving stuff I cannot identify as belonging to this or that addon in place. This would be a lot of work for me, not least because over the ten or more years this file has been in existence I'm not sure what is or is not relevant. It's been suggested that I might start from a fresh file and add in all my tweaks. I have some intention of cleaning the file up once in the next few days (we shall see how that goes) but I have no long-term intentions of maintaining the file after that other than to overwrite the copy in Dropbox whenever I make my own changes. So, I offer a further caution in regards to my file. Please note that this may be a solution to try for those of you who are using my tweaks file on Intel Mac/PC/Linux boxes that have the pink graphical glitch in the upper left hand corner.ĮDIT 4.8.16: It's been brought to my attention that the prefs.js file I use personally and provide a link to below contains references to folders and addons that are either specific to my Macs or to items no longer installed. I certainly will not forget, TenFourFox when I was a 16 year old and got pissed that Firefox stopped updating on my Leopard-running Powerbook G4.PowerUOC Project. Take a long rest, and while I'm not confident someone will take up your torch, know you were appreciated by thousands across the world for your hard work. Mozilla has become an activist organization instead of a competitor, Edge has been turned into Webkit, and the whole browser standard shit has come full circle with Microsoft again using someone else's product to piggyback its code (IE, for those who don't know, started off as a fork of Mosaic). I don't mean to be a douche or act all elitist, but it's really gone down hill and while I like Waterfox and Pale Moon/Basilisk for what they are, they're not Firefox anymore. It's a good time to quit - Firefox is basically in the trash dump now. While we didn't always agree on things, I appreciate everything you ever took to the time to write and I hope that Talos II is treating you well. I hope you come around here man - you were one of the good Nekochanners that never made the hop over. The idea that Nekoware II or any of the other stuff I, or anyone else here is working on, would have gotten as far without Cameron's work is nonsense. While I personally don't use them or benefit from his work anymore (I did use it in my teen years though!) I did want to thank him anyways. While not the first, and certainly not the last, he's probably the most stubborn and notable for his efforts to keep PowerPC Macs alive. I don't like treating the forums like a personal blog, but I just wanted to write out my thoughts to ClassicHasClass/Cameron K, in case he chances by here and reads this.įirstly, I'd like to thank him for being a forerunner in the "running new software on obsolete platforms".
